Today in studio: Gloss polymer varnish day. Last of three heavy varnish coats with lots of puddles. So far almost a gallon of @goldenpaints polymer varnish on this monster piece. Thanksgiving day in the studio. First time working in my studio with my mother @janethmckendrick who is an amazing abstract artist. She is my earliest and lifelong art hero. It has been a 50 + year arc to arrive at this day working and creating side by side. The perfect Thanksgiving is in this moment.
