Today in studio: Gloss polymer varnish day. Last of three heavy varnish coats with lots of puddles. So far almost a gallon of @goldenpaints polymer varnish on this monster piece. Now lots of ventilation and a few days to dry. Some panel edge touch up and this 72” round Circumference Series” piece will be ready to hang on the wall. No title yet – any suggestions for a title? Thanksgiving day in the studio. First time working in my studio with my mother @janethmckendrick who is an amazing abstract artist. She is my earliest and lifelong art hero. It has been a 50 + year arc to arrive at this day working and creating side by side. The perfect Thanksgiving is in this moment. Love you mom and thanks for all you did and sacrificed so I too can reach for my art dream.
