In the studio: another late night photo shoot and then another coat of polymer varnish to finish. One large piece ready for delivery to the framer. The photo sessions remind me that I still need to learn a lot more about consistently shooting my very shiny work. Polarized filters and polarized sheets on every light – the secret sauce. Always appreciate how experienced art photographers make this process look easy. Ok back to varnishing. .

Today in the studio: Back to basics. 2 coats of gloss polymer varnish (from the folks at @goldenpaints ) in the texture areas and 2 coats of matte polymer varnish on the flat edges of the painting. Nice UV protection and seals the acrylic paint on the piece from that pesky dust. This piece will be in direct sun so a couple of coats is a necessary extra step. Not all days are wildly flinging
