Wintertime studio experiments: My translucent blue 30” round experiment is on the wall for a quick look. This is a piece where I played with layers upon layers of cobalt blue... Experimenting with color shifts and translucent glazes. Learned a lot with this piece that started out white with a very vibrant colors in the bands of textures. Goal was to get the underlying color bands to recede. It’s been a fun month playing with glazes on top of an assortment of previously created pieces. . Come check out this and other experiments this Saturday from 12 to 5pm. Artists Working open house event at the ICB in Sausalito . Over 40 art studios open. . . . . . . .
