Nice UV protection and seals the acrylic paint on the piece from that pesky dust. This piece will be in direct sun so a couple of coats is a necessary extra step. Not all days are wildly flinging

Today in studio: Gloss polymer varnish day. Last of three heavy varnish coats with lots of puddles. So far almost a gallon of @goldenpaints polymer varnish on this monster piece.
